Currently only allowing gambling apps in the Play Store in 4 countries, Google will increase the list to 19 countries in March. However, not every developer will be able to publish gambling apps.

The “loot boxes” and gambling practices with various rewards have always been a controversial issue. Googlehad aimed to offer a concrete solution without ever entering into these controversies by strictly banning gambling apps from the Play Store, except for a few countries. However, Google plans to lift this “ban” in some countries.

So far Google has only Brazil, France, Ireland and the UKallowed gambling practices. As of March, it was included in this list. 15 new countries more will be added. However, the fact that Google makes its gambling apps available in more countries does not mean it will loosen its strict restrictions on this issue.

Countries that can access gambling apps from the Google Play Store as of March

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Colombia
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • Mexican
  • New Zeland
  • Norway
  • Romania
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • USA

Even if the developer of any gambling app is based in one of the above countries, Google will require Google to publish their apps. a general consent does not offer. Developers must complete legal requirements that vary from country to country (state to state for the US) and submit their documentation to Google.

A New Feature Has Been Bred To Google Play Store To Show The Trending List Of Apps

Even if the developers pass all these steps and get approval for publishing from Google, the gambling app in question Google Play StoreIt will only be viewable by users in the country where it was published, not for everyone. Also, to prevent underage users from accessing these applications “Adults Only” tag will also be found.

Gambling practices require stringent requirements, as they can cause huge “losses”. However, the open source nature of the Android operating system is 3rd party application makes it possible to be installed as. Therefore, whether the applications are available in the Play Store or not is technically not more than easy access.
